We are a team of Child and Youth Counsellors who are passionate about providing individualize care to adolescents struggling with their emotions. Here is a little more about our professional experiences:

Jill is a 2001 honours graduate from the George Brown College, Child and Youth Worker program in Toronto, Ontario. Upon the completion of her schooling, Jill returned home to London working as Child and Youth Worker at Craigwood Youth Services, Madame Vanier Children’s Services, and The Salvation Army - Harmony House program. These positions provided Jill with the opportunity to support children and adolescents with severe behaviour, social and emotional struggles including their involvement within criminal justice system.
In 2003, Jill began working fulltime in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Care, Inpatient Program at London Health Sciences Centre. She spent the next 18.5 years passionately working collaboratively with a treatment team of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Registered Nurses/RPNs and Child and Youth Counsellors. Jill’s experiences working within this acute care system is what has inspired her to offer more to adolescents and their family’s struggling with mental health concerns through in home and community support.

James graduated from the Child and Youth Worker Program at Fanshawe College in 2012. Over the past 12 years, he has had the privilege of working as a Child and Youth Worker in a variety of settings including residential, custody, and inpatient mental health.
For over 10 years he worked at LHSC in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Care Inpatient Program. James was a part of a multidisciplinary team, working as a frontline CYC supporting children and adolescents, and their families with acute mental health concerns. CYCs predominantly provided safety and stabilization, activation and behavioural programming and milieu management. Assessments and family support was also a crucial part of our responsibilities.
Most recently his experience has been in a rehabilitation program in Northern Quebec providing support for Inuit teen girls with substance abuse and trauma. During his time in this program, James has successfully developed the necessary connections with clients and has worked collaboratively with a treatment team to provide safety and programming for these young women and their families.
James feels very passionate about the work that he has done with children and families over the years. He is excited to be a part of the Hand to Hand team to continue the work that he feels so proud to offer and so privileged to do.
James is a registered member of the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care (OACYC).
